We ensure safe height of and distance between units and appliances, plus suitable flooring and wall coverings to minimise flame damage and spillages.

Whether we produce quality units to a budget, or even refurbished cupboard doors and ironmongery to facelift an existing kitchen, with appliances upgrade, re-wiring and improved plumbing, OR a wholesale new kitchen, we work out a fixed price to suit a budget (changing specifications until a budget is signed off) and we then honour that fixed price.

We use the very best, affordable quality as it minimises maintenance and lessens wear and tear. This also looks better for longer and adds to either re-sale value and/or rental stability – in essence more cost-effective in the medium term and beyond.

Our products are environmentally friendly timber and laminates and low energy/water use appliances – with recycling of waste water and heat recovery.

When it comes to simple or eye-catching designer touches, Shellards offer a myriad of options including; automation of elements, clever storage uses, “furniture” quality finishes and special hand painting, along with high specification appliances, waste automation, luxury floor and wall complementary coverings and integration of lighting and computing and media facilities.

Shellards Kitchens range from a set of new cupboard doors, and/or replacement work tops, and/or new handles and knobs, right through to taking out a whole kitchen including appliances, re-designing a new layout (including wall plastering/panelling, new timber or stone floors) re-wiring a media friendly layout and then making and fitting a whole new set of units, work tops and appliances.

Style & usage/occupancy, together with intended longevity of use are key features along with budget restrictions, for example;

1. Modern style with sleek simple minimalist lines and bright colours or subdued greys, through to old oak, period trims and embellished details complementing stone and hardwood flooring and likely integrating into period housing and room styles.

2. Usage and occupancy could be intense, with children and “family kitchen use” or a elderly couple with more measured needs.
